Choral concert for the Year of Czech Music
The Department of Music invites you to the Concert of the MUNI Choirs for the Year of Czech Music, which takes place on May 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of Karl Engliš at the MU Faculty of Law.
The Department of Music invites applicants for doctoral studies in the Music Theory and Pedagogy program. The application deadline is set for April 30. The program is offered in both full-time and combined form.
The Doctoral study program in Music Theory and Pedagogy aims at a deeper professional orientation of graduates from artistic and pedagogical fields for a professional career in tertiary education - at universities and other educational organizations focused on musical culture. Students are primarily prepared for a scientific career in academic institutions, e.g. in the positions of assistant professors. The main emphasis of the study is on interdisciplinary relations – gaining expertise in general and musical aesthetics, semiotics, musical sociology, psychology, pedagogy, historiography, folklore and related fields, including scientific methodology.
If you are interested, contact the program consultant and the head of the doctoral board, doc. PhDr. Marek Sedláček, Ph.D., (sedlacek@ped.muni.cz) for a closer acquaintance with the program, consultation of the topic and selection of a suitable supervisor.
