Teachers' Day 2025
We invite you to the annual celebration of Teachers' Day at the Faculty of Education, MU, which will take place on March 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM in auditorium no. 1 (Poříčí 7). The Department of Music provides the musical program.
Applications for doctoral studies
The Department of Music invites applicants for doctoral studies in the Music Theory and Pedagogy program. The application deadline is set for April 30. The program is offered in both full-time and combined form.
The Doctoral study program in Music Theory and Pedagogy aims at a deeper professional orientation of graduates from artistic and pedagogical fields for a professional career in tertiary education - at universities and other educational organizations focused on musical culture. Students are primarily prepared for a scientific career in academic institutions, e.g. in the positions of assistant professors. The main emphasis of the study is on interdisciplinary relations – gaining expertise in general and musical aesthetics, semiotics, musical sociology, psychology, pedagogy, historiography, folklore and related fields, including scientific methodology.
