About

The bachelor's studies at the Department of Music is carried out within the study program Music for education. The student always chooses a combination with another program, with a preference - major and minor.

Standard study period: 3 years

Form of study: full-time

Title/Degree: Bc.


In accordance with music knowledge in the field of music theory, history, or harmony, you will devote yourself to deepening your skills in practical disciplines such as playing an instrument, vocal education, or conducting a choir.

You will also gain basic skills in working with information systems related to music notation and sound editing. You will test all professional knowledge and skills when applied to the needs of pedagogical practice within the didactic practices of music education.

You will be able to apply the acquired basic knowledge and skills in the field in extra-curricular and leisure activities. You may work as a teaching assistant, instructor in leisure centers, educator in youth institutes, groups, or various civic associations engaged in pedagogical activities. Thanks to a number of practical subjects, you will also find employment in other fields.

Lectures await you from experienced academics working in the field of science and art. You will work in music and multimedia classrooms as well as in primary schools during continuous teaching practice. You can also take the opportunity to sing or play in various ensembles. During your studies, you can participate in current domestic and foreign art and educational projects, research and competitions.

You can take advantage of Erasmus+ program for studying abroad.
