The Department of Music invites you to the Concert of the MUNI Choirs for the Year of Czech Music, which takes place on May 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of Karl Engliš at the MU Faculty of Law.
Music in Postmodern Society
The Department of Music Education has prepared a new course with the university-wide scope named Music in Postmodern Society (CORE010). It will focus on current issues of music culture in contemporary society with a link to the historical and social context. It offers an insight into the relationship between classical and modern music, emphasizing aesthetic and axiological aspects, issues of musical interpretation, and musical reception. Attention will also be paid to music concerning new media and mass culture.
